It won’t be in 3.2 because there’s a lot of work in getting backgrounding working and also making the “Send via Carrier” very quick.

I would agree that having the option to disable smileys and revert back to text would be convenient for many users. Just a thought, but maybe you could add link at the bottom of the settings page that links to another screen for these tedious settings that seem easy and practical.

Sorry, it’s not, that’s because if we added a setting for every request we get, then the settings page would be a thousand lines long!!

We try to gauge level of interest in a suggestion by forum posts and emails. So far, it’s only you…

What about point 2? Option to disable the smiley pictures? It should be really easy to implement but it’s not in the TODO list.

Hi,

after using biteSMS 3.0 for about 1-2 weeks, here is a little list of features I’d like to see in the next update:

  • Auto-save last setting (Send via Carrier or Send via biteSMS) per phone Number. (or per conversation.)
  • Let me disable those smiley pictures. I really like my lovely text smilies.
  • If you don’t let me disable the smiley pictures (why ever), then at least please fix the bug that one smiley picture is about 2 SMS long. (If I write an SMS and have a smiley like ;) and then go to landscape mode, the smiley is converted into a picture and it says that my SMS is now 4 messages long – it was 2. If I remove the smiley, it is 2 again.)
  • Why does it say I still have a trial license after having purchased 50 Credits?
