Is anyone else having a prOblem with bitesms and dreamboard? Because my QR keyboard does not show on the lockscreen when i have a dreamboard theme enabled. But it works without dreamboard. Any help

Hey Martin, liking the new update, and I like they way the passcode is implemented into QR :) However, I too am experiencing the bug where, just after respringing, sliding to reply from the locskcreen instead unlocks the phone and opens a Quick Compose window.
Also I wanted to ask, is there any way you guys could make it so that, if one has the Apple notifications enabled (on lockscreen), sliding to reply goes directly to the passcode entry in QR? I understand if someone had it set for QR to show up instead of the stock notification on the lockscreen, then the “show” button is already sitting there and so it is just one click away to the passcode. But if you’re someone like me and you like having the apple notifications come up, it’s a bit of a hassle to slide to reply, and then have to hit show, Then enter the passcode to see the message. :)

One bug to report on beta 17 (in addition to my IntelliScreenX ones mentioned in my previous post):

1) With the new passcode feature in QR, (after a respring) it brings up a QC screen of the individual you’re sliding to reply for once you unlock your device. It seems to be a bug in conjunction with the one that’s still persisting (first option in this link: http://forums.bitesms.com/forums/6/topics/4355#post_38716)

Other than that everything else is working perfect :) (My bug about the new passcode feature in QR only occurs the first time after respring, so it’s not too bad of an issue).

for some reason, when i updated bitesms, my silent (volumebutton) does not work anymore. If my phone was on ringtone and someone calls me and i push my volume button it does not silent anymore. It goes same way as when my phone is in vibrate mode, the vibration would not stop, it continues to vibrate.

I would like to have:
1) “Retry on failed” feature

2) TextFreek integration

3) Correction to the following bug:
when you reply from QR or QC to send an iMessage, the receiver in his Message’s App doesn’t see the “3 dots in the blue bobble” that indicates I’m writing a message (similar to Windows Live Messenger and similar to the original Apple Message’s App), while if I am in BiteSms’ App, the receiver (in his Message’s App) sees the “3 dots in the blue bobble”.

4) Correction to the passcode bug that I explain with the following scenario that I would like to have:

a) I have iPhone locked with a passcode;
b) An sms arrives to me;
c) I slide the row with sms's notification to open the new sms;
d) The iPhone ask me the passcode;
e) I Insert the passcode;
f) Unlock the iPhone;
g) Auto-Open quickreply.

With IntelliScreenX (ISX) installed, the Auto Show QR feature doesn’t work completely.

With the notification center showing (and hide ISX for alerts off), the QR does not popup automatically.

With the notification center showing (and hide ISX for alerts on) and the screen is locked, the QR doesn’t popup automatically. If the notification center isn’t present when the device locks, it works correctly.

Hopefully the two scenarios make sense, but there’s barely any conflict with ISX aside from the automatic popup.

as The Boomr said, if you exit biteSMS with the emoji keyboard being the last used, when you reenter biteSMS, at the passcode screen the emoji keyboard is still showing rather then the number pad.

Only a minor inconvenience and hopefully an easy fix.

Hi there, I’ve read SO much on all these pages, but I can’t seem to figure out how to prevent the popup from displaying over LockInfo on the lockscreen. I’m running iOS 5.0 on a iPhone4 with the latest LockInfo and the latest BiteSMS and am using Popup Blocker. Everything else seems to be working fine. the alerts show in the proper LI section, but I would like for the SMS to only show in LI if the phone is locked, and then i can tap or swipe the LI notification to open the Quick Reply box. Does that sound like a possible setup? Thanks.

@Martin it’s strange then that the message Only comes up when I open bite after resprings, and that it doesn’t actually prevent me from receiving messages. I’ll try to get around to disabling all mobilesubstrate stuff except bite and see if it still happens, and/or uninstalling/installing bite to see of that helps.

We have also located the performance bug that occurs if opening biteSMS in a conversation. This is fixed in beta 17.

We note:

For right to left keyboards like Arabic, then the reported bug that the cursor does not appear in the text input field. This is a firmware bug and is fixed in iOS 5.0.1. Thus it’s not a biteSMS issue.

I’m still getting extremely large bubbles for Copy/Paste/etc. only in biteSMS

if i copy with ssh my old sms.db, biteSMS crash at startup, and sometimes on click on conversations. sometimes respring.

Edit by Martin, I think you’ll find the native Messages app crashes as well. In other words some issue with that file, either permissions or it’s old database schema no longer supported. Use iTunes for this purpose.

I know you said that you guys are working on disabling the stock notification in addition to QR when we toggle off BiteSMS alerts via SBSettings, but can you also add the option to disable the status bar icon as well when Bite alerts are toggled off? Again, this should only be an option but I think it makes sense that we should have the choice to disable that as well when we don’t want anything showing up on the lockscreen or anywhere else.

Edit by Martin, I agree status bar icon should not show. But not that it would be a setting.
