its basically the original popup is showing thru under the quickreply popup

Edit by Martin, that’s correct, as you have yet to complete dealing with it. What would you expect to occur, especially as say there may be 4 other messages showing behind needing to be actioned.

However u can still see this popup when u are reply (refer to previous pictures I posted)

Edit: this bug only occurs when you rely when you receive the popup. If the text becomes like notification where it’s like a bar then it doesn’t happen

Whenever I view a picture MMS it shows the image but a biteSMS ad as well. I have the paid version, can we disable this?

so everything is working on my phone just fine, except it seems like bitesms’ quickreply is a little laggier :/ i have a lot less available memory than i normally do as well.

after updating to beta 16, i’m down to around ~175mb with NOTHING open, after a respring and clearing out the switcher. not sure if it’s coming from bitesms now or not, but after updating to beta16 is when i noticed the change.

I should add that this is with the stock notification disabled on the lockscreen. It seems redundant to have that enabled if we have QR set to automatically pop up on the lockscreen. Is it possible to give us QR and QL for the lockscreen at least so that we can tap on the status bar icon and bring our messages back up?

Edit by Martin, You need the stock notification enabled as biteSMS uses that to park multiple messages. Like the old Quick List. Basically we have tightly integrated Quick Reply into what Apple have already provided. Try it, I think you’ll find it works well.

Love, love love the option to automatically show QR on the lockscreen – thank you!!! However, if you “later” a message, there is no way to bring QR back up so you can reply to the message (tapping the status bar icon does nothing). Shouldn’t tapping the status bar icon bring QR back up? And what about if you “later” more than one message on the lockscreen? Tapping the status bar icon should bring some sort of quick list, no? I know you did away with it but it seems like it should at least continue to exist on the lockscreen, if not everywhere.

Martin this is what happens whenever I go to reply to someone the background turns dark and makes the text hard to read. Anyway to fix this? http://db.tt/XUG7Gt5Q

Thanks Martin! beta16 fixed the issue where the biteSMS app crashes to home screen whenever I move around in a no-signal to a signal area and vice versa. Eagerly awaiting scheduled messages and hide contacts!

This bug is still here:
If I exit bitesms to homescreen from a conversation with the keyboard up and then re-enter bite, I get the conversation with the keyboard up and typing field is there but the blue typing cursor get disappeared and if I type anything then the text will not show and I have to press the typing field to get the cursor back.

@Martin: When I delete message from QR by tap “Delete” button, message it’s deleted but there is left blank conversation with given contact on the bottom of converation’s list. It happens only when deleted message is the last one in given conversation or if it’s the only one. I noticed this in all 6.0 beta versions.

Still having imessage issues with the latest version – randomly imessages send, then disappear from the conversation straight away when they’re sent. If i send a test one to myself, it pops up in the conversation then disappears.

@The Boomr the passcode field freezing happens to me as well.. I thought it was just my phone being slow.. But this just happens on regural keyboard not foreign emoji keyboard..

Aand another one, this one has been happening for a while, surprised at myself for never mentioning it, again…probably only in the free version ;)
1. Currently viewing a text conversation, with the keyboard up (visible)
2. I drag the keyboard off-screen, instead of just tapping the convo area to make it disappear.
3. After the keyboard is gone and I release my finger, when the text “pops” back upward, the bottommost text is below the level of the lowered keyboard, meaning I can’t see it. If I try to scroll farther down to see it, I can see that it is there, but when I release my finger it disappears below the text input area again. Bringing the keyboard back up makes it visible again; dragging keyboard off screen again produces same result of it disappearing. This seems to stop happening sometimes (as in the bug will stop occurring at all for some so-far-unknown reason), but if it isn’t happening, and I close bite from the multitasking bar, then reopen it, it will start happening again.

EDIT: also, sort of odd, but if the bug is currently in effect and I can’t see the bottommost text, holding my finger on the blank send button to change it to/from iMessage to/from text causes the bottommost text to suddenly be visible again.

Also Martin, in the future will the scheduled message feature allow the use of iMessages? Presently, using it causes the sent message to be a text message no matter what kind of signal I have.

Edit by Martin, currently when scheduling a message, you have the option of using biteSMS or Mobile Carrier network only. It’s a lot of work to support iMessage for this, so it’s not high on the current list.

@Martin, just found a bug: I re-enabled the passcode lock, now that it’s fixed (yay!), and I noticed the following behavior:
1. receive a text in Quick Reply from friend, respond to it, and send an emoji icon from the “foreign” emoji keyboard
2. leave emoji keyboard up when hitting send (meaning that if I went into another app and entered a text entry field, the emoji keyboard would show up, not regular, since it was last thing used)
3. open bite to see another message convo, and as normal, it showed the passcode screen instantly, but for about 3 seconds I could hit none of the buttons on it at all. After 3 seconds, it unfroze, and the emoji keyboard showed up. I had to hit the little world icon in the bottom left of the emoji keyboard to get the number keyboard to show up.

@Martin @mrchennyken I can confirm this bug happening randomly, not just after resprings. I have yet to find a way to reproduce it consistently but I know that on more than one occasion I will be texting with someone and a random text in the middle of the conversation will take me to bite app instead of QR, even though the texts before it and the ones after it all brought up QR just fine.
