Thanks for the + button crash fix! Another problem for the widget is that it requires for a contact with pictures. Is it really designed this way? As it is i have a lot of contacts wthout pictures (especially commercial establishments like laundry services etc) but i get in touch with on a regular basis

Topic: General / QR QC conflict with springboard

I had this before on an i4 without knowing the cause and it just came up again on my i5 after months of no problems. I am reasonably sure it happens due to the quick screens. I haven’t added any Cydia apps or tweaks in many weeks, and this just started in the last few days. So it isn’t a new conflict that I can easily trace to a new install, could be one that just started affecting me.

After using QR or QC (not sure which, QR seems more likely), Springboard will completely lose touch sensitivity on a portion of the screen. Any other app seems to be fine. I mean a space approx the size of the first two icons (upper left) on any home page does not work. Cannot tap on those two icons, cannot swipe the screen right there. Anywhere else on the page works. I can open any app, that works fine, go back to home page and it still doesn’t work.

A respring fixes it for a bit. Help?

I’ve had a problem with bitesms ever since I upgraded to the iPhone 5. I’ve been all through the settings and nothing seems to work. When I have a number notification in the upper right corner of the screen (by the battery percentage) I used to be able to just tap that number and quick reply would pop right up. It doesn’t do that now and instead opens the bitesms app. Is there any way to change this or is it just how it’s set up now? Thank you very much.

Thank you for fixing the crash issue when hitting the ”+” button while editing the Notification Center Widgets to add favorites to the widget. It now works. Many thanks. :o)

I also have seen the issue reported by Kanjo above. Hope that can get fixed too.
I still see duplicates in Notification Center Widget settings while adding favorites, some contacts have a ton of entries for them.

That GV extension is wonderful but still doesn’t solve the problem with it being compatible with my iPad mini which is what I am using now instead of a phone. ?!? :-(

Had 2 crashes this morning. Both of them while getting a QR notification. Both were also while using Facebook. The first gave me a blank notification and crashed both apps. The second gave me a text and then crashed both apps.

when typing a reply in quick reply or quick compose (usually reply to a text) if i get a call (with and without callbar activated) the quick reply window gets dismissed so i can answer the call and then when i reopen the reply window all text (draft) is gone and you need to then retype the entire msg. this has happened to me so many times when i have been writing a long reply text and had to start over.
can reproduce every time i get a call and have a QR/QC window open. has also happened within the app a couple times but they are very random and isolated. the QR/QC bug happens everytime i get a call.
its been there for a few releases but i figured it was just my phone. i reproduced it on another device so i figured i would report it.

you can try ilexrat or ilexrestore if all else fails. Maybe that “stock” jailbroken device will help fix the problem?

Ok so I’ve enabled the quick compose widget, I added 5 favorites, that have valid phone numbers and photos yet no contacts show in the widget, it remains empty…

I attempted to make this look like a biteSMS app that Google would release hence drawing much inspiration from their Hangouts app and other user services to predict what the quick compose/quick reply interface would look like. It can be found on Cydia with the title “Hangout for biteSMS”

Font
The font used is called Roboto, I also recommend Roboto-Light! You can install these fonts via BytaFont

I also recommend using the following searchbar to match the grey Navigation bars at the top.

Hi. First of all ı want to say that I am not a PhotoShop artist. Thats why this concept is not perfect. But this is my idea about QR of biteSMS in iOS 7. I hope you like it. I am inspired by the AirDrop window of iOS 7 mostly.

you can scroll the bottom bar to see other options (like templates, facetime …) thats why there is that seperator next to send button, to show that there are more options. And the color of the send text changes for biteSMS network (pink), iMessage(blue) and standard Text Message(green). So what do tou think
