I think I have tested all preview settings and the MMS texts come through regardless of preview settings.

I was curious if this as been considered, landscape mode looks semi bad without the chat bubbles auto expanding to the width of the screen.

Same problem as above poster. An auto-scroll to the bottom of the messages list each time the keyboard is toggled should fix this. Sometimes after sending a long message or hiding the keyboard the messages don’t scroll to fill the entire screen and the space that used to be taken up by the keyboard is empty.

I don’t know if this was mentioned, but when I tap to bring up the keyboard in bitesms, the keyboard covers the most recent message. It doesn’t move up all the other messages like in the regular SMS app

I tried a reinstall, and it fixed it for a lil bit now it’s doing it again.

BUG!!!

When I go to the Photos app, select a picture, choose MMS it uses Apple’s SMS app and not biteSMS. I have bite as default.

@Martin: It is not because of iPhoneDelivery, because people that do not install delivery reports do also have the same problem. I just found that it may cause it. And also few more people talking about similar problems after installing biteSMS. So the group of people having same trouble is bigger…
In my case there weren’t flash alert when my appstore apps disappeared. But doesn’t any setting cause flash alert? If i remember correct, some of us it happened after receiving a text message…

Tell me how can i help you finding out what causes the problem…

Winterboard doesn’t slowdown your device (here on iPhone 3G iOS4), it does NOT.

Test it, see memory usage (only 2 mb) and CPU usage (No change…), themes CAN slow down device, when using video wallpaper or everything intensive, but just a UI and SMS backgrounds replacement, nothing…

So, that’s a stupid legend..

Hi all,

One thing that I’ve never understood about Apple: why have they not implemented decoding EMS (A phone designed for the EMS can send and receive messages with formatting (such as fat and italic), animations, pictures, icons, sound effects, or special ringtones…).

Many phones are compatible, but not the iPhone, so when a friend sent me a simple animation, it’s empty … Too bad, the iPhone could at least substrate with Emoji ..

It seems that this is just a decoding codes …

So what do you think?

Hi all, i like suggestion of an AutoClose possibility, last month i’ve write to the backgrounder dev and he told me this should be implemented in a third party app so…

Repeating free Memory did that in past, but it will not be updated soon.. And personnaly i like to have one substrate for 2 functions instead of 2 for 2..

This function would be very cool for iPod app, to close it while not playing (I’m on 3G and that’s would be really really great !!!), also an “timer” should be great, for messaging apps (App Autoclose if not re-activate after 10 min, so when a conversation “finished”).
I’m not a dev but since Switcher control if Music is played or not, it wouldn’t be hard to tell it to close..?

Hello,

I’m having an issue with delivery reports when i reply using the quick chat feature.
When i send a message with quick chat it’s ok but not when i reply.

The issue is that the mark for the delivery report is not where it should be.
Instead of being just at the left of the sent message, it’s showing in the previous received message.

You can see it better with the screenshot i took

I sms’ed myself, “Send qc” is when i sent using quick chat and “Reply qc” is when i replied using quick chat.

I use the ad version of BiteSMS. I tried reinstalling bitesms and iphonedelivery, doesn’t do any good.
At first i thought it was because i had Winterboard so i removed it, but no change.
I have rebooted multiple times.

No, I didn’t. Why don’t you re-read my post and pay attention this time. I suggested that “Favorites” should not be a way to launch apps that were not currently running. I said that is what the springboard and dock were there to do. I suggested that the “Favorites” list would provide a way to have your favorites, if they were running, listed at the front of the list of running apps.

What I would like is to have up to 20 running apps and the iPod, Rotation, and Torch controls available on one page. Why swipe ether direction when you don’t need to?

sidewinder, you did. Tap the home button. Voila! There you have your pages of favorites. See how easy that was?

Autokill isn’t a feature that this app needs to incorporate. Expecting anyone one app to accomplish everything, and do everything well, is kinda foolish. Use backgrounder to “autokill” any apps you don’t want backgrounded; there is no need for switcherplus to incorporate this. Backgrounder is a fantastic app and is updated very regularly.

I would love this feature, i originally was going to request that a group conversation icon be a combination of the recipient pictures, but Godmaster’s solution of dissolving the group is much better because the replies never show up there anyway. In regards to some people saying that apple controls the msg grouping, i think you could solve this by simply sending the sms messages 1 at a time instead of as a group send.

Hi,

Another suggestion would be an “autokill” for a certain application. For example, I don’t want Skype to be in the background all the time, as I use it mainly to call other people. The periods that I really “want” to be reachable on Skype are limited, so it would be great if it SwitcherPlus could “autokill” the app.
Also it would be nice to be able to put the session not to autokill when you want it to be running in the background, though I have no idea’s yet about the UI to accomplish this last part :-)

Some crazy bad ideas and suggestions on these pages, especially the guy who suggested multiple pages of “favorites” from the task switcher. Dude, that’s just tacky and cluttered, and it defeats the whole purpose of quickly launching a running app. That’s why you have already have pages and pages of favorites from the home screen. Please keep it simple and lite. There isn’t any real need for incorporation of a lot of these suggestions because they can be gotten from elsewhere and used in conjunction with this app (like 5 icon task switcher… it already works). Lastly, there is no reason to kill fast-switching apps, unless they are poorly coded and should never have been backgrounded in the first place. If killing an app is necessary just use backgrounder. I have backgrounder installed just to keep grooveshark alive and keep signal from staying alive. Apple’s memory management already works, no need to mess with it. Keep up the good work!

I really get angry when i get a text while im driving and i cant say to my phone ” reply, hey whats up?” i have ot text it and almost get in a accident. Also i love bitesms but i would love it even more if you intergrated swype to making texting super fast and easy because texting on the iphone is easy but it could be alot easier.

Issue with Activator 1.4.2:

I had set the following action in Activator:
Double press status bar: “Home button”
Hold in status bar: “Sleep button” to standby mode

When I am using the Quick List in “Unlock Screen Mode”, it will go to standby mode immediately

p.s. I am interest on Traditional Chinese tranlate on Bitesms…where should i apply this job(?)

i really like it !

but i got an issue after i installed SwitcherPlus.
i have biteSMS too, and when i click ‘open’ of biteSMS QR in LockScreen, biteSMS isnt opened though it unlock device :(
before i installed SwithcerPlus, biteSMS was opened after i clicked ‘open’ in lockscreen (><)
i tried to reinstall biteSMS and SwitcherPlus, but no change :(
any ideas?
