I was very excited about munchSMS before and you can see before that I really supported this app and wanted it to succeed. I just went to recharge and noticed that the price has now gone up to $A 7.99 for 50 textx. That’s 0.16 each which is more expensive or almost the same as sending via the carrier.

There’s not much point to munchSMS anymore, so I’m sorry to say that I can’t support it anymore. Unless you revise your pricing, I don’t think you will be very successful when there are cheaper alternatives around.

We are forced to use the Apple tiers, and there’s a big jump in tier prices, so it was (AUD) $5.99 and at this price we were making a loss, the next tier is $7.99, nothing in between.

However the greater the price the cheaper it gets…only the 50 bundle is an issue.
