You can answer that question yourself: The devs willl probably do their best to keep biteSMS compatible with the latest and greatest iOS updates but they are ain’t even done with iOS5 yet. So let’s hope Apple didn’t change the whole messageing stuff with diffrent APIs or whatever (non dev talk here :D) And this screenshot only affects biteSMS when you hit the “custome” button if you choose “Reply with Message”. (right?) |

I installed 6.2 on my iPhone 4 on 6.0b1 and just nothing happens? No icon and no quick compose at all (ofc I did respring) |
But you know that the current “Jailbreak” MuscleNerd released is dev ONLY (!!!!) and that there is nothing beside SSH and afc2. But seriously? I mean you are kidding right? 3 days after a Major iOS update you mean that biteSMS works just fine on iOS 6 :’D |

Damn it… I’ve removed ISX… Now Bitesms runs normally… :) Except for double message/double notifications bug! Any updates about this problem however? So… I’ve paid 9.99$ for ISX and they doesn’t even have a concrete customer support for bug reporting… Bitesms integration sucked until last update, but it slows down qr/qc popups… I’ve sent them at least three emails! :s |
When using attacher pro everything works fine except on the popup menu (camera button) on QR it forces you to take a picture. Doesn’t allow for file picking |

See our feedback on iOS 6 here http://forums.bitesms.com/forums/1/topics/5306 The plan is to get Release 6.3 completed (with QC and QR theming completed), release this as the last iOS 5 update, then get our heads down to ensure biteSMS is completed in time for iOS 6. |

@moe I know.. I am a developer and just wanted to get Martin some feedback.. I know bitesms needs mobilesubstrate and I installed it. After a reboot I also got the bitesms icon but it crashes . |

Hey Martin, |
thanks. |
@Martin Seems the team is quite busy lately. Is it possible for an update for the 6.3.7 beta, what stage of completion is the theming at? know bugs still being researched and whats on the stack. It would be nice to stay abreast, don’t mean to be to nosy. Thanks in advance. |
Completely understood, we have been a little sidetracked with iOS 6 to see how much work there is. Will post an update soon. |
QR on LS mode issue or bug? |
@Martin, Thanks for looking into iOS 6 so soon, but I feel like a jailbreak for it will be a ways out even after it’s released, which won’t be for a few months. Do you think we could finish up the current features you’re working on and get everything solid? I had to fall off the beta train for a while because too many things were crashing. I’d like to see a nice solid compatible final-ish release for 5.1.1 before a bunch of work is dumped into a beta that might not have an untether for a very long time :) Just my 2 cents.. I do appreciate you being proactive. Thank you! |
Of course, we want to wrap up Release 6.3 and will do in the next 2 weeks hopefully. |
double message/double notifications bug! Any updates about this problem however? Happens with ISX and latest beta…. |
No issues with ISX and latest biteSMS beta.. |
I have the same issue as gizbug. iPhone 4S on 5.1.1 jailbroken with BiteSMS 6.3.6. Double message pop ups and then the springboard crashes. |
Is beta 7 or 6.3 final ever going to come out? |
Beta 7 is scheduled for release next Tuesday 3rd July. BT Keyboard fixes, better iPad support, many crashes fixed and some partial theming support for QC and QR (although if not ready this could be beta 8). |
Update: I uninstalled the Cydia tweak “Ipsum” which seemed to be related to one of the malfunctions of BiteSMS and so far it looks like BiteSMS runs without issues now. Just FYI |
Never mind, still crashes and respring into Safe Mode… Let’s see if the next release is more stable. |
@Sevarin This version has been very stable. You more likely have another tweak that’s interfering can causeing the crashes. |
@Samphotog: I went through my list of tweaks and uninstalled everything I don’t really need. I also made sure that none of the programs that might cause a problem with BiteSMS (mentioned here in another thread) are installed (I only had Copic out of that list). And it still crashes… I run bare minimal right now. |

Unless the 4S has issues the 4 does not, I would look to your phone/tweaks/firmware. My 4 is rock-solid with bite. You might consider restoring and then rejailbreaking. If you do, put bite on first, then slowly add the tweaks you use and see if bite stops working correctly as you describe. |

I have a 4s, iOS 5.1.1 and biteSMS 6.3.6, and I just restored, setup as new iPhone, and rejailbroke, only installing biteSMS. I still have the issue I described a few pages back. http://forums.bitesms.com/forums/6/topics/5138?page=6 I uninstalled biteSMS for over a week and switched back to the stock messaging app, and during that time I had absolutely no issues. Now I’m back with biteSMS and the problem is back. Also, my girlfriend has an iPhone 4, 5.1.1 with a fresh restore and jailbreak as well, and she does not have the issue that I have. Maybe my issue has something to do with the 4s or an interference with Siri? Also, she is experiencing random springboard crashes as well, something I was hoping restoring and rejailbreaking would solve. However, she only has biteSMS installed as well and it occurs when she’s sending/receiving texts at the same time. It also crashes sometimes when an alarm goes off as she is receiving a text. Any help for either of these issues? Thanks! |
