Hey congrats on 4.7!!! I like it alot!! I wanted to ask how can I become a beta tester? I realize I just signed up and this is is my first post, but I moved to Bite from iRealSMS and I never looked back!!! lol I love this one soooooooooo much better!! Well until then….

Ok well I was just reading thru another thread and saw the bitesms 4.7 repo. So is this public beta testing? Im just getting into beta testing so im still learning how things work! I do know my way around an iPhone tho! I had to jailbreak my 2g when you had to enter in all commands!! Took me 5hours and alota starbucks! lol Ok well enough about that! I just wanted to explain so i dont get flamed!! Thanks!!

Edit by Martin, welcome, it’s all very civilized over here in biteSMS! No flaming allowed. The beta has just finished for release 4.7 which has just gone public. Release 4.8 beta1 will be out hopefully on Monday.

I’m guessing you guys have set it so that if you tap the name of the contact, you get to see his picture.
(I hope that isn’t it, btw, but there’s only so many ways you can be different in that little QR window. :P)

Or maybe you have the picture sitting up top and center above the regular QR window, so that it’s right above the contact name.

Orrrrrrrrr. . . Maybe the pic is a transparent-ish background of the QR window? Or it becomes the lockscreen pic, a la incoming calls?

Oo! Or maybe when a message comes in, the pic is shown instead of the response text box, until you tap on it, at which point it becomes the regular text box and the pic is shown up top along with the incoming message! That would be cool. :D

mine still says im running 4.7 beta 5 and there are no new updates?

Welcome aboard. It is a public beta test. Just watch for the next beta repo being posted. Add it to cydia and install the beta.

Then all you’ve got to do is when you find a problem, come back here and post and easy to understand and reproducable description of the problem.

Why didn’t you guys state in changelog that “slide to view” feature is removed?
Why oh why…
Before 4.7 my sms delivery report was fine. Now it’s not working anymore.
But my biggest disapoinment is no more “slide to view”.
I guess I have to search 4.6 version from google now. :-(

joxin, you no longer need slide to view, just use Quick List on unlock mode only, if that’s how you prefer to work.

Just got the update from the beta! So far so good! Can’t wait for beta1 of 4.8 lol. I actually check back here weekly looking for new betas you guys work so fast and are always incorperating new features I love it! You guys planning any big surprises for 5.0?

i”m using iphone 3G fw 3.1.3, updated ver 4.7 but quick list feature on my phone don’t work like as change log you show for us.i chosed quick list in setting On(already).
I need you clairify it to me, help!

Now getting random springboard crashes when messages are incoming, quite random.. but 4 times today. They went away and came back, looks like Notifier may be involved.. Can send logs if you wish. Otherwise, great release. Thanks

Turned off notifier for now, will report back.

So I sent a message to a family member on AT&T and they don’t have bitesms. When I used deliveryreport, she replied, the three yellow dots did not even change to a green check mark.
