We have just shipped it to BigBoss for packaging, so should be soon…If you can’t wait, please add the following repository into Cydia, and then upgrade.

Now compatible with Apple firmware 2.1.

If biteSMS is configured as the default app, the Contacts ‘Text Message’ button will now open biteSMS (thanks Kay…).

The auto-correct feature can now be toggled ON/OFF via the biteSMS settings page (defaults to ON).

Auto-correct now honoured when the ‘Send’ button is pressed.

sorry but i didnt find it in cydia not in bigboss and then i added the source .. nothing came up ?

I’m glad to hear you have made it compatible with 2.1 so quickly. Well done.
Good job with the new features too. Especially the contact text message button. I remember when you were saying that it was hard to gain control of this code. Well done!

Means that if you are on the last word in your SMS, and the auto-correction widget appears, then in versions prior to this when you press “Send….” the word would not be auto corrected, and it should be (Apple SMS app does it).

Thanks for the quick fix!

At the first run it didnt map my contacts to the existing messages properly, only a handful were right. The other messages showed the phone#.

However at the second run they were all matched right. Havent quit figured out why, altho it could have something to do with the restoring of credits…anyway, just FYI :) It works great on 2.1 :-)

Thanks a lot for the fast and stable update for FW 2.1.. :) I don’t know any other iPhone-App with better support than BiteSMS…

Just for the next time: I lost hours searching why I can’t start any application on my iPhone… So perhaps it would make sense if there will be a FW update if you let us know about such problems. But this are just my 2 cents…

@dawn – we would tell you if we knew…the first we knew of a problem was a few hours after 2.1 was jailbroken.

Hello I have few thing to tell you
1: when i tap “add to contacts” in msg view in bitesms .. its immediately adds the contacts and show up the window for adding .. unlike the normal Apple mobilesms.app when you tap ” add to contacts” it shows 2 options adding to existing or new contact .. i hope you fix this

another thing … there is a new app for copy\paste its called CopiercINC something like that .. when i choose export to sms .. the stock sms app shows the msg not the bitesms .. i hope this fixed too .. thanks

problem 1 can be fixed. Problem 2 is not related to bitesms or the default app setting. The program that allows copy and paste will have to intergrate there software with bitesms for it to work.

Thank you for you support .. There is a problem with bitesms 2.3
when i want to FORWARD a message to multiple contacts .. I add them one by one
when I reach the 3rd contact or the 4th .. i cant add more .. because the ”+” plus sign went down and i cant tap on it .. and when i tried to use the mobilesms.app it worked well .. so please try to fix that ..

Yes, this is very hard to fix, we basically need to completely rewrite the + widget, and there is a lot of stuff in there…..sorry.

This is one of the widgets that is not available in the SDK, and is in the private frameworks, so is not documented and we have not been able to figure out how to fix this.
