hi! just updated bitesms an hour ago, and i noticed something. i don’t know if this has been discussed before. but my message alert keeps alerting me of incoming message when there’s no incoming message.. maybe a bug.. happens after receiving a real message. thanks!

@Flipward definitely a bug. mine does the same thing.

I think you are referring to the Apple “Repeat Alert” feature, as that’s what it’s supposed to do for any pending SMS messages.

Turn it off, if not required. If it’s doing it when it’s not supposed to, I suggest a reboot.

Just noticed a problem with the delivery report syntax. If the message is longer than 160 characters the receiver will see the syntax at the beginning of the message and you won’t get a delivery report. So the delivery reports only work with sms which are shorter than 160 characters. I don’t know if the syntax has to be used differenly or if it just has not to be used in long sms.

Edit by Martin, that’s a carrier restriction, nothing to do with biteSMS. As far as I know you can only add a delivery prefix for single part messages.

@big_berny it’s not a bug it’s an operator thing.. the delivery throug code works only with short sms
