From the moment I first used an iPhone it confused me why they didn’t make the text bubbles go ALL the way across the screen. I can see how someone might get confused if you really think about the lowest common denominator, but with alternating colors and now a lifetime of chat experience, we should be able to have text messages fill the full width of our screens. It would save so much vertical scrolling during big conversations, and it’s such a simple thing that I’m blown away hasn’t already happened somewhere.
