Settings screen

How about moving the bitesms settings to the settings app? It would keep a nice consistent look to the bitesms interface and would be a true representation of the Messages app. I only go into settings once after a new release, I’m sure most users are the same, so there is no real need to have quick access to the settings from within the app. They are something you really only need to set once. |

hohoho my friend, you’re late at the party. You have to believe me when I say some of us fought like cats and dogs to do this, but the unanimous decision at the end was to leave it where it is. :-) |

Gracious in defeat….:) |

Sounds like it was an interesting debate :-) I’ve done a search, but can’t find it. Was any type of compromise proposed to keep both sides happy, e.g. have the settings in settings app and have a switch to enable/disable the settings button on the bitesms interface for those who want it there? Is it possible to hide/disable the button using a winterboard theme or is it hardcoded into the source? |

Is hardcoded, sorry. But don’t worry you’ll get used to it, it doesn’t bite :-) |
