My settings already do match your suggestion and the popup does pop up without touching the Banner or swiping left in LS.

Ok, i get what you mean with blue. biteSMS user could get confused by a green send button ;)

In Whatsapp there is a setting to turn of notifications for single group chats for predefineable period of time. If the app is still in backgroundmode QR4WhatsApp still recognizes messages of these groups and you see notifications for them. If you completely close whatsapp everything is ok.

So I removed IntelliscreenX and see, the double messages bug is fixed.
But the send delay still happens, when WhatsApp is in App Switcher Quick Reply works perfectly. So please fix the send delay ASAP!

Edit by Martin, for us of course it works properly (as it does for thousands of users), so shouting ASAP is not helping. Do you have any other clues as to when the send delay occurs? Are you normally on 3G or WiFi

On LockScreen the QR4WhatsApp Popup is showing, there’s no black bubble to slide unless you press ‘Later’.

Edit by Martin, if we (i.e. our developers) can fix it we will. But sometimes it requires the developer of the other app (in this case IX) to do something, and that we don’t have control over. So email them to apply more pressure.

I’m having the double message bug without having IntelliscreenX installed.

First it’s important that it works on an unmodified ios before they build workarounds for such crappy apps.

Without IntelliscreenX the same problem. Double messages, delay, always open quick reply with banner option.

Edit by Martin, we of course don’t experience any of these issues! always the way….so our best guess is we need to locate which other Mobile Substrate app is causing the issues. Can you PLEASE disable all other MS apps (using SBSettings) and report back thanks.

Actually the open app from banner appears to be a bug in this beta, so no problems we’ll fix that in beta 4.

Another big issue.

I muted a certain whatsapp group for 8 hours. Normally I don’t get push notifications but with qr I got.

I disabled every MS Addon instead of the qr4whatsapp one and the QR Window still pops up in LS mode and in the homescreen. Settings do match your suggestion, There must be something wrong i think.

I find that if i set whatsapp notifications to banner mode, it will open qr in lockscreen automatically.

And I want to ask if quick reply will support line?

I’m having an issue where all I’m seeing when I hit reply is “message from insert name”, instead of whatever the person sent to me.

Hey, it’s me again.
Now I’m using QR4WhatsApp & IntelliScreenX and it’s working (nearly) great!
To get avoid from the double messages bug set WhatsApp Notification to Alert-style.

I used the latest iFunBox using the power saving modes.
So I set WhatsApp to ‘Always Background (No Saving)’ and ironically it improves the Quick Reply.
In other words there’s no more send delay.
I’m using EDGE and it’s working fine. Usually there’s a little delay (max. 10s) not caused by QR4WhatsApp so it’s depending from the connection.

Well, I recommend setting WhatsApp to ‘Always Background (No Saving)’ via iFunBox.
Please let me know if it also improves Quick Reply!

Usually the Quick Reply Popup lags, it becomes unresponsive for 5s.

I’m still having the same same problem as above… And I tried disabling all my MS Addons and it still wouldn’t show the message.

Edit: In Notification settings (of whatsapp) I had “show preview” to OFF!!! That would make sense. So now for a request: can the popup for qr4whatsapp work like that for bitesms where you have to push “reply” to display the message?

@eskolade, it works the same as biteSMS rules.

The license are 1 year only? I thought we could buy a LifeTime license like BiteSMS. Otherwise, it’s an awesome tweak there! Keep up to good work :)

Nah sorry, Apple change the OS too often and that requires major development by us. So charging per year seems the fairest (and cheapest for new users) way for all concerned.

Hey Martin, unfortunately the new beta changed nothing. the pop up still occurs, although i set my settings as you mentioned (Banner). I disabled all MS Addons except the qr4whatsapp one and it still does not work for me… :(
