I have made out several bug in the smiley popup…

- The triangle should be within the message field – shouldn’t it?

- Add contact function is missing
- Add location does not fit in popup (arraw overlays)
- Blurred text

Suggestions:
- Expand the width of the popup
- Only 2 rows of smileys in both modes(regular and Landscape)
- Add location function to Landscape mode (there is enough space when you implement my previous suggestion)

I think it has something to do with the German version of biteSMS… because its “Senden via biteSMS” and not “Send via biteSMS”, the button has become bigger and hence the text field shorter in length. That is why the arrow (triangle) is at the edge for you.

Also, the word hinzufuegen in screenshot 2 is so big, takes up too much space.

@nim: can’t see the screen shots, it errors with “no hotlinking allowed”? Agree with ram though, best option is probably to make the popup wider.

@Marcel : ya, and maybe shift the arrow triangle about 15 pixels left for the first screenshot. :-)

OK, I see now. The triangle does need moving.

With screenshot 2 the long words mess up the layout, that’s why the arrow overlaps. The Add Contact feature is not there, because that goes off to portrait screens provided by Apple, so we have to completely implement those in landscape before that feature is useful…lot of work.

Your suggestions make sense.

Don’t notice any blurred text, though, where do you see that?

I notice a blurred text in the second screenshot (http://up.picr.de/1837231.png).

If you compare the text “Standort hinzufügen” to the first screenshot you, you notice it’s blurred..

Ya I think so too Marcel.. may be the words became smaller in size since they are so large but you coded in such a way that they occupy the same space in the line, hence the letters “zoomed in” and looks like they need to be sharpened just a bit.

Find another bug:
Sometimes if I add a smiley it happens that the char counter adds a lot of characters. So it happens that I just wrote a few words and the counter shows my that a just have e.g. 4 chars free…
Have someone notice this too?

I’ve had that but I’ve found that if I hit the space bar it seems to correct itself!

No, I had this bug when I answer a message NOT forward…

Oh dear.. that definitely is bad news.. because we just found a big bad bug that was causing smileys to be taken as special characters when you forward a text and there is a smiley inside it..

what’s clear in your case is that this is occurring in the German version of biteSMS..

@nim : you use the German version too, can you check out this problem ?

This bug only occurs when Forwarding (install the public version from BigBoss) – correct, anyone know otherwise?

I updated from BigBoss and will see if it happens again…
