I am currently on biteSMS 6.2.12 and whenever I receive a new message, my text tone plays twice. Any idea what’s causing this?
I’ve noticed that on a fresh install of biteSMS, it does not have this issue, until I reply using QR.

EDIT: Don’t have to be a fresh install, as long as my 4S has the springboard respringed. And from the moment I tap the banner alert to open QR, the problem starts. (my text tone plays twice whenever I receive a message)

P.S. All this ONLY happens when my phone is unlocked. The sound still plays only once when my phone is locked.

go to your phone’s settings > Notification > Messages and scroll down to repeat alert

It’s currently set to “none”. I’m not talking about the sound playing twice at intervals. It plays consecutively.

I suspect another application is clashing with biteSMS.

Disable all other Mobile Substrate applications – do this my installing SBSettings, and using More->Mobile Substrate Add ons, turn off all of them except biteSMS and then re-test.

Nope, tried turning everything off except for “biteSMSsb” since there was no Mobile Substrate add ons named “biteSMS” and “biteSMSsb” was the closest, but the the text tone still plays twice after opening up the QR box…

Never had this issue back on 6.1, only after updating to 6.2.12.. Maybe Martin could help clarify this?

Okay it’s not just my text tone, it’s all the notification sounds that play. Any ideas? Do comment if you’re having this issue too! Thanks!
